Leadership: Leadership team experienced in major projects?

Insurers need experts in managing change, as well as subject matter experts

The data demonstrates that many supplier-respondents are less optimistic about insurers’ leadership experience than insurers’ own staff.

Most respondents from insurers believe that at least some of their leadership teams are sufficiently experienced in work of this scale.

Conversely respondents from suppliers are less confident, with about two-fifths stating it was their belief that no-one at their client’s leadership team was sufficiently experienced in implementing such a change.

We compared responses from differing businesses and locations. We notice that respondents from insurers not used to similar large-scale change were more optimistic about the experience of their senior leadership team than respondents who had previously been through large changes (such as SII or RBC).
