to our people

Currently based in Hong Kong, Sharon has over 15 years experience delivering programmes and projects in Asia.

I have been living and working in Hong Kong for the past 11 years, delivering transformational projects and programmes in the Financial Services domain. Prior to that, I was based in New Zealand, focusing on strategic business and system implementations for HSBC. The projects I have worked on have covered many business and support areas, with my most recent role being with Manulife delivering a Valuation Systems transformation project within the Actuarial business. I have been fortunate to have gained exposure to many countries across the Asia region, given the global and regional nature of the programmes I have led, focusing on stakeholders needs, time to market and return on investment.

My areas of speciality include: programme and project management, governance, project resourcing and budgeting, all levels of stakeholder management, vendor management and benefit calculation and realisation. Examples of the programmes/projects I have worked on are:

  • Valuation systems transformation
  • Implementation of a globally strategic payments system across countries in Asia
  • Strategic financial planning transformation
  • Managed a country upgrade of multiple core banking systems
  • Front-end system transformation
  • Import/export transformation, including process and system change
  • Managed the set-up of a bank wide business continuity plan, including the set-up of a fully functioning back-up site

Having worked across multiple domains within Financial Services, my focus is always on providing the highest level of loyalty and support to my sponsors and stakeholders.
